Description
Having read Dan Brown's best-selling Angels and Demons, i was inspired by the numerous ambigrams that appeared in the book and decided to create my own. Ambigrams are graphical figures that spell out a word not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation (quote from Wikipedia). Using pen and paper, i began doodling and playing around with the word form of my name, "Jiahui". After i was satisfied with the final version, i scanned it and used Macromedia Flash to do a bitmap trace to smoothen the edges. It was imported into Adobe Photoshop, and final touches were then applied manually. This ambigram has a rotational symmetry of 180 degrees.
